Hagit Pincovici was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. She lives and works in Milan and New York, USA.
Since 2019, Hagit has turned her attention to nature, inspired by the botanical forms and striking landscape of her native Israel. Materiality has always played a strong role, from an initial focus on marble, brass and lacquer to a more recent exploration of sandstone and cast aluminum. Her signature clean lines balance out these ‘softer’ materials, highlighting the relationship between the experimental and functional found throughout her oeuvre.
She graduated from the department of Industrial design at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and from the Design Management and Cultural Experience program at Domus Academy in Milan. Her own work was also exhibited in the group exhibition at the Triennale during the “Salone del Mobile” in 2009. In the last few years, she has been collaborating with major Italian companies such as "Baxter" and her work is being featured in acclaimed industry-related publications such as "Interni", "Interior Design NY", The Wall Street Journal", “Domus”, "Frame", "Elle Decor", “Abitare”, “Forbes” and more. Her works are distributed in the U.S.A, Canada and Europe.
