DIMOREGALLERY UNVEILS A NEW SETTING IN MILAN

MILAN, SEPTEMBER 2026 — DIMOREGALLERY unveils a new setting at its Milan gallery, transforming the space into a sequence of immersive interiors shaped by colour, material, reflection and light.

The new setting brings together the contemporary collections of DIMOREMILANO and Interni Venosta with historical furnishings by Gianfranco Fini, Luigi Caccia Dominioni and Osvaldo Borsani, alongside re-editions of designs by Gabriella Crespi. The selection is completed by artworks on loan from Osart Gallery, including works by Vincenzo Agnetti and Marcia Hafif, among others.

The atmosphere is dark and enveloping. Pools of amber light fall across polished wood, aged leather, brass, smoked glass and deep-pile carpets, gradually revealing individual objects and compositions. Low ceilings and mirrored partitions compress and multiply the space, creating shifting perspectives from one room to the next.

Warm timber panelling provides a backdrop for geometric screens, sculptural lighting and upholstered seating. Black lacquer and metallic surfaces establish a rigorous architectural rhythm, while flashes of vermilion red, emerald green and deep violet bring intensity to the darker palette.

Domestic scenes emerge throughout the gallery: a dining table illuminated by suspended lanterns; a violet sofa framed by textured stone walls; floral upholstery contrasted with glossy black structures; and a writing table paired with a graphic hide chair and hand-thrown vessels. Elsewhere, patterned lounge chairs, red lacquered cabinetry and decorative ceramics create unexpected relationships between restraint and ornament.

Lighting becomes an integral part of the architecture. Brass pendants, opaline globes, pleated shades and slender floor lamps cast precise circles of light, isolating individual forms and transforming furniture and objects into silhouettes.

Completing the experience, a new ambient fragrance created especially for the setting by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran permeates the gallery. Conceived as an integral part of the installation, the scent adds an invisible sensory layer to the interiors, reinforcing their intimate and enveloping character.

Bringing together contemporary collections, historical design, re-editions and works of art, the new setting combines rigorous geometry with tactile richness. Each room exists as an independent composition while remaining connected to the next through colour, reflection, shadow and scent.

The result is a layered interior landscape suspended between domestic intimacy and theatrical mise-en-scène.
