Transfer

During Milan Design Week 2018 Dimoregallery presented Transfer: an emotive installation dedicated to Masters of 20th century design.
The exhibit unfolds as a journey through spacious rooms which transform themselves into different mises en scène, becoming rooms within rooms, and various settings of distinct shapes and styles crafted in fabrics. Furniture and pieces that resemble cherished jewels, protected in treasure chests by curtains made in de Le Cuona fabric. In fact, the title of the exhibit “Transfer” suggests the idea of a journey across distinct cultural ambiences and unusual aesthetic settings that come together thanks to a common creative idealogy. For example, the two connecting rooms, filled with 20th century pieces, resemble the cultivated archives of a collector, which form the unmistakable expression of the creative duo, Salci and Moran. Among the pieces on display are works by Carlo Mollino, Angelo Lelli, Giò Ponti, Carlo Scarpa, Alvar Aalto, Charlotte Perriand and Jean Royère.
